Job Description:

This position will be responsible for managing and continuing the Capture Pursuit Opportunities in South Florida and keeping Motorola at Bay.

Essential Functions:

  • Prospecting, qualifying for Critical Communications PS Systems in South Florida.
  • Lead the pursuit team to go after the remaining 20K terminals that need replacement in MD County, make sure we keep Collier County in the right track, respond to the upcoming Ft. Lauderdale $7M upgrade bid later in Q3.
  • Lead the development of the win strategy, and identify critical activities and resources needed to increase the win probability for Monroe County Palm Beach County, Lee County, Hendry, and Glades County.
  • Ensure client-focused activities are taking place, including client and stakeholder meetings in concert with the Capture Team, throughout the life of the pursuit.
  • Drive team to develop win strategies and ensure differentiators are compelling and validated relative to client priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Solution Lead engineers to develop technical solutions for the different pursuit opportunities.
  • Serve as a color team reviewer during the proposal development phase to connect the customer problems to capture winning solution through the final proposal.
  • Work with SLERS Team to make sure there is interoperability with the State of Florida SLERS System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to stand alone without much supervision.
  • Technical knowhow of MCPS Networks.
  • Great Presentation Skills
  • Proficient with MS Power Point, Excel and Word.
  • Good Business Acumen
  • Willing to take the challenge against the incumbent Motorola.
  • Experience in Public Safety Sales or Business Development working large pursuits.
  • Full understanding of the sales process of large pursuit capture programs.
  • Must have Public Safety Experience with MCPTT and Public Safety Land Mobile Radio Systems.
  • Experience leading capture teams and achieving successful outcomes.
  • Experience of the proposal process.
  • Great Administration Skills
  • Experience with CRM systems.
