Staff Accountant

Insight Global is looking for a Staff Accountant that is a detail-oriented subject matter expert, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's general ledger activities. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller. This role must have a solid understanding of general ledger accounting and fixed assets. This position will be fully onsite in Tyler, TX and will working 8am/9am-5pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a business partner and key support resource to the finance department and the company
Ability to reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts
Create and post journal entries to the general ledger
Assist Accounting Manager and Controller with month end close
Maintaining Fixed Assets
Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required, and other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
