Responsibilities of a Physical Therapist:

• Evaluate residents to determine their physical therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and supervise physical therapy treatments to help residents achieve their goals.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate residents and their families about exercises and activities that can help improve mobility and prevent injury.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of practice.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
• Provide training and guidance to nursing staff on proper techniques for assisting residents with mobility and exercises.

Physical Therapist Qualifications:

• Current, valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
