Description

The Software Developer is responsible for ensuring our client's success by creating solutions to business challenges. The Software Developer role is to design, code, test and analyze software programs and applications. This role will also analyze software errors and provide status reports for enterprise applications.
  • Partners with other developers, analysts, and designers to develop new software programs and applications.
  • Plans phases of the software development life cycle for assigned projects.
  • Design, test, deploy and maintain one or more software products.
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software projects supporting procurement and development efforts.
  • Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Perform software updates and testing.
  • Write programming scripts to enhance the functionality of software for assigned projects.
  • Schedule and perform software improvements and updates.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Work with other developers across business lines to make technical recommendations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in computer science or related field and 4 years related professional experience required or Associate Degree and 6 years related professional experience required or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related professional experience required
  • Strong knowledge of computer equipment, storage, back-ups, operating systems and tools used in an operating environment required.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT)
  • Ability to obtain applicable certifications.
