STAFFING COORDINATOR FOR A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY

P alms Care Cente r, a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Lauderdale Lakes, FL, is currently seeking a full-time Staffing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling staff at a skilled nursing facility.
J ob Functions are as follows:
• Work with Human Resource Delegate and DON when scheduling modified work duty employees, in accordance with work restrictions and Facility policy
• Complete monthly nursing schedule coordinating request to ensure appropriate coverage of units
• Complete and post work sheets and time schedules. Coordinate variances with the DON
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars
• Report to Director of Nursing Services (DON) all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism, in accordance with Facility policy
• Complete in timely fashion necessary nursing department employee records upon hiring, job reclassification, and discharge as needed
• Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing and scheduling needs: to assist in elimination and correction of problem areas, and/or improvement of services
• Assist employees in accurate completion of forms (e.g., Leave and day off requests, time cards, etc.)
• Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers
Qualifications:
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate Degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Customer service oriented.
