Our Herndon branch is looking for a new Air Logistics Operations Manager to join our Air Logistics team.

Your Role

You will direct and coordinate weekend operations, as well as develop and provide procedures, policies and techniques that maintain the highest quality and cost-effective service. You provide corrective actions for all operational and administrative functions and activities that require improvement and contribute operational, administrative and fiduciary expertise as requested by Sterling Management team.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate the operation by managing daily operational activities
• Develop and recommend policies and programs, which guide the organization in
  maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the
  operation with new directives for growth
• Assist Sales team in developing and implementing products, services and pricing
• Contribute and develop long-term planning, including initiatives geared towards
  operational excellence
• Research customer satisfaction issues, develop corrective action plans and
  monitor the results for closure
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of
  Operations and Sterling Management team
• Lead and inspire individuals to develop a highly motivated & committed team
• Select and maintain qualified personnel to ensure operational efficiency
• Keep up to date on information and technology affecting functional areas to
  increase innovation and ensure compliance
• Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively
• Assist Director of Operations in ensuring that the ISO program is maintained to
  achieve/maintain certification
• Director of International Operations

Your Skills and Experiences

• This facility is a 365 facility and the flexibility to work non-scheduled hours, overtime and/or holidays is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in Warehouse Operations experience
• 3+ years of Air Logistics experience
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Dangerous goods certified

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
