Storage Engineer Lead

Duties

• Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT storage systems that support core organizational functions;

• Design, implement, and support storage systems and platforms;

• Plan and manage capacity/resources related to global enterprise storage platforms;

• Monitor health and analyze performance of global enterprise storage platforms;

• Provide direction to peers, junior team members or external consultants;

• Apply concepts of appropriate standard methodologies and best practices; and

• Enforce worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected

Requirements - Education & Experience

Education - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or foreign equivalent.

Must have 5 years of experience in in the job offered or related position.

Must have experience with all of the following:

• 5 years of experience with hands-on design, implementation & system administration of DELL EMC storage platforms such as PowerMax, VMAX, XTremlO, Unity, VNX, RecoverPoint, or Isilon
& Brocade SAN Fabrics;

• 4 years of experience with leading IT projects of medium to large complexity at the global and regional level;

• 3 years of experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows & Unix platforms;

• Independently architecting and deploying storage solutions distributed across several datacenters;

• Level 3 escalation for support and maintenance-related activities: Installation, maintenance, upgrades and break-fix support issues;

• Network technologies, including VLANs, NATs, Virtual Switches, DNS & DHCP; and

• Data center facilities environment (rack\ cable\ power).

Travel Expectations

Up to 10% domestic travel required. Role permits full-time remote work throughout the U.S.
