Strategy and Technical Business Consultant

Strategic Consulting and Coordination:
Advise the OSC and CIO Strategy Shop on the development and execution of the IT Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the organizations mission, vision, and goals.
Facilitate strategic alignment across OIT service lines, ensuring that all activities are coordinated and aligned with CIO priorities.
Develop and communicate the value proposition of the IT Strategic Plan to ensure buy-in and understanding across the organization, helping service lines align their efforts with strategic objectives.
Review and recommend improvements to existing processes and frameworks, driving enhancements that support the OSCs strategic goals.
Technology Trend Analysis and Strategic Insights:
Provide expert analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, offering strategic insights that inform the IT strategy and budget planning.
Prepare and deliver whitepapers, reports, and briefings on technology trends, focusing on their relevance and potential impact on the mission and strategic initiatives.
Stay current with congressional guidance, executive orders, and federal mandates, ensuring that the IT strategy is compliant and responsive to external factors.
Budget Strategy and PPBE Process Support:
Offer consulting support in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, helping to align IT budget planning with strategic goals.
Assist in the development of a standardized framework for budget coordination across multiple organizations, enhancing process efficiency and synergy.
Provide insights and recommendations on spending plans, ensuring that budget strategies are aligned with OIT priorities and identifying areas for improvement.

The pay for this ranges from $60-75/hr with a conversion salary of $135-150k depending on experience levels.

Required Skills & Experience

- experience in IT consulting, government budgeting and strategic planning
- experience in federal strategic support
