The California Energy Bond Office (CEBO) manages utility regulatory matters, participates in rate setting proceedings with the California Public Utilities Commission and manages a bond program.

Under close supervision of the Supervisor in the Financial Management Section within the CEBO, the incumbent will assist with matters relating to CEBO's administration of the Electric Power Fund (EPF), as authorized by Assembly Bill (AB) 1X, and the DWR Charge Fund (DCF), as authorized by AB 1054.

Responsibilities of this position include assisting in the preparation of technical analyses to support engineering and economic analysis used to track revenues and energy from retail end use customers of California's Investor-Owned Utilities. In addition, the incumbent will monitor regulatory proceedings imposed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) on electricity sales of IOUs and assist in modeling and projecting load usage patterns based on current economic conditions.

Please note: this position is paid on an hourly basis and is limited to 1,500 hours per 12 consecutive months .

Special Requirements

All applicants for Student Assistant positions must meet the following departmental eligibility requirements:

  • Enrolled in nine (9) semester/eight (8) quarter units for undergraduate students or six (6) semester/four (4) quarter units for graduate students.
  • Achieved a 2.0 grade point average in the most recently completed academic term.
  • Declared a major related to the duties of the advertised position and enrolled in coursework required for that major.


  • Must possess a valid California's Driver's License.
