University Compliance Federal Work Study student is responsible and accountable to the Executive Assistant. The position will provide onsite support and assistance in the day-to-day operations of the office, as well as assisting in the development of Educational projects, website and/or graphic design needs that the Department is initiating.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets visitors and answers any general questions at front desk
  • Assist Executive Assistant with daily needs within office
  • Assist Education team with document management tasks
  • Assist the department with the creation of graphic projects and/or website development
  • Assist office personnel with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least a second-year student at Liberty University in good standing (no reprimands or suspensions)
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule up to 20 hours per week.
  • Excellent and detail oriented communication, computer, and organizational skills
  • Ability to utilize a calculator and computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and Christ-like manner, resolving issues with an attitude of courtesy and respect.
  • Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)).
  • Must pass various background checks, including, but not limited to, a check at the time of initial employment
  • Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan

  • Frequently required to travel to local and campus locations
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building
  • Occasionally required to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
