Represents the University of Houston to the public community in Houston, throughout Texas, and across the nation. Develops and implements strategies and programs to facilitate recruitment and enrollment.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of three (3) year of directly job-related experience.
Experience will not be considered in lieu of education.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
This position is located in Houston, TX.
• Maintains a university vehicle, including periodic cleaning of inside and outside and scheduling routine maintenance.
• Creates and maintains prospect records in the campus recruiting management (CRM) system.
• Prepares reports and/or analyzes data from the CRM system to coordinate recruiting efforts with other recruitment specialists.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience developing and implementing student recruitment and outreach designed to meet enrollment goals in target geographic areas and specific student populations.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and other student information systems.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
• Higher Education experience.
• Service leadership skills including mutual respect, active listening, responsiveness, empathy, advocacy, and transparency.
• Must be a multi-tasker, extremely organized, and have the ability to work in a high-pressured environment, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly interpret and implement policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- In consultation with supervisor, develops and implements an international student recruitment plan that supports the mission and objectives of the University of Houston for all assigned international student recruitment territories.
- Accommodates international time zones and lead virtual information sessions/webinars on various topics based on partner agency and prospective international student needs/interests.
- Reviews international student applications and process admission decisions. Complete transfer credit evaluation for international transfer applications with foreign college coursework.
- Supervises student workers including their performance evaluations, hiring and salary increment recommendations and manage any other human resources related issues for this group.
- Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders including UH colleges & departments, foreign academic institutions, US community colleges, international student sponsoring agencies, international student recruitment partners etc.
- Serves as a mentor and a resource for international undergraduate prospective students from initial inquiry through matriculation.
- Effectively utilize UH Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology (SLATE) and Student Information System (PeopleSoft) to maximize lead generation and increase yield rates.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
