JOB SUMMARY

The Healthcare Analyst I helps the analytics department through management of the activities related to the development, enhancement, help, and maintenance of the suite of programs utilized to provide analytics across the organization, providing leadership and coordination to small and medium projects. The Healthcare Analyst 1 motivates the team; serves as a subject matter experienced and maintains positive working relationships across the system. The Healthcare Analyst I helps assigned projects by conducting data testing and implementing process improvement to assure timely and successful project completion. The Healthcare Analyst 1 will also provide help for training, communications, and stakeholder help.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • The strategic planning analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and communicating strategic data and initiatives for Baylor Scott & White Health.
  • Conducts market research, analyzes trends, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
  • Helps inform growth strategies and approaches, and leverages data analytics that lead to the improvement in business operations and strategic positioning.
  • Prepares and summarizes analysis for presentation to other leaders within Baylor Scott & White Health.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and helps evaluate the success of implemented strategies.
  • Supports the annual strategic planning processes through the use of data, analytics, modeling and project management skills
  • Participates in the selection process for system wide technology investments and vendor alignment.
  • Utilizes business tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, along with third-party analytics tools, including mapping software and healthcare claims data.


KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Experience in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience using data visualization tools, Power BI preferred.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience with Service Now.
  • MS Office Suite Proficient Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated strengths working in a dynamic, ambiguous, and ever-changing work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
