Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for a Substation Technical Sales Manager at our facility in Raleigh, NC, to work in the sales and business development activities within Grid Technologies technical sales team for the growing high voltage substation business.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Responsible for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) & Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) product and turnkey substations project sales.
  • Develop necessary protection and control system related to the substation.
  • Develop Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (Static VAR compensator, mechanically switched capacitor, Static Synchronous Compensator).
  • Coordinate and lead day to day operations with the tender team.
  • Lead and communicate with an international team including multiple factory correspondences and collaboration across different business units.
  • Discuss technical issues with customer and clarify the topics about the portfolio.
  • Perform technical presentations about the portfolio to the customers.
  • Collect and negotiate substation product and EPC contracts with a willingness to succeed.
  • Support goals of the company to push High Voltage products to the market which help promote a sustainable future.
  • 30% domestic/international travel required.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field and 4 years of experience.
  • Will also accept Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Full term of experience must include: High Voltage Transmission knowledge;
  • Gas Insulated switchgear knowledge;
  • Air Insulated switchgear knowledge;
  • Large & Medium Power Transformer knowledge;
  • turnkey full engineering, procurement & construction Substations knowledge;
  • ability to analyze detailed equipment & turnkey specifications to turn them into product order sheets with technical clarifications/exceptions; and
  • ability to create schedules from specifications and inputs from engineering, products deliveries installation and commissioning timelines.
  • 30% domestic/international travel required.
