Summer 2025 - Housekeeping Internship

Summary: The Housekeeping Intern will assist and support the Housekeeping Management/ Supervisors as liaison communicating the needs of guests, housekeepers, and inspectors. The Housekeeping Intern will work closely with Engineering and housekeeping coordinating work orders and service/item requests. They will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards. The Housekeeping Intern will strive to gain global understanding of the Housekeeping Operation from start to finish through working in a variety of positions inside the housekeeping department.

The Housekeeping Intern shall always strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with daily housekeeping operations at the Boardwalk Inn and Village, Sweetgrass Inn, and Property Management

    • Structure, positions, time of operation
    • Responsibilities
    • Performing all functions of each position in Housekeeping
• Maintains effective organization, layout, cleanliness, security, upkeep of housekeeping office.
  
  
• Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment in the housekeeping department.
  
  
• Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
  
  
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name (when possible) & good eye contact with each guest.
  
  
• Communicates all pertinent information to the housekeeping team.
  
  

• Continuous authorization to work in the U.S.
• Currently in a hospitality or related program
• Capable of a 10 week commitment

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
• Must be able to walk, climb into and out of and operate a vehicle frequently, with occasional stair climbing.
• Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 15 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs;
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, pushing and pulling and simple grasping frequently; squeezing, overhead reaching & fine manipulation occasionally.
