Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the processes of delivering a coherent and coordinated curriculum at the regional campus in Temple, Texas. This role oversees the day-to-day operation of the curriculum administrative and support staff by training the course coordinators on improvement methods and deliverables as they pertain to our accreditation standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring the course coordinators maintain specific policies, procedures and standards with respect to our current curricular practices and also will serve as the primary liaison between the course directors and faculty. This role will train, oversee and maintain the foundational sciences course workload for the course coordinators.
This position oversees course and program administration for the School of Medicine Curriculum Office and administratively supports operations to satisfy accreditation standards. This position works with a high level of autonomy and must exercise discretion with high volumes of complex, confidential information. A proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, screen and prioritize communications and opportunities from external and internal sources and organize and maintain administrative processes is essential to this position. This role will require professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, ability to work in a team environment, good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Job Duties
- Plans, implements, and oversees education programs and activities.
- Supports deans and educational leaders who develop procedures for implementation and CQI of processes used to administer curriculum.
- Works closely with course faculty and staff to monitor adherence to procedures and deadlines.
- Collaborates with the Evaluation and Assessment team to ensure successful exam administrations.
- Provides content development support for programs and activities.
- Assists with strategic planning initiatives and process improvement efforts.
- Assists in the review and update of operational policies and procedures; recommends improvements.
- May assist in financial management activities, including financial analysis and forecasting, or financial reporting.
- Participates in staff meetings to provide information and training, promote professional effectiveness, and to review current practices and procedures.
- Administratively supports the course directors/program coordinators.
- Manages the various system applications utilized in medical education departments (i.e. Blackboard, Leo DaVinci, SAP, E-Value, ExamSoft, etc.).
- Provides course/program materials and documentation on matters relating to SOM courses.
- Interacts with course/program directors to facilitate course/program objectives.
- Performs critical tasks related to the annual review processes in collaboration with course/program directors.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
- Four years or more of administrative oversight of an ongoing program or project.
- Leadership and/or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated work experience, knowledge, and understanding of accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and technical capability in the use of various educational system applications
