Job Description:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test. Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects or assignments.
  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the goals of projects and assignments.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team, which may include customers or vendors.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area.
  • May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support level employees.
  • Explains and interprets operational processes, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization.
  • Work consists of making basic adjustments to systems and processes to solve problems.
  • Identifies, defines and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area.
  • Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences or standard procedures and basic analysis.
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Ability to receive Secret Clearance required.
