Description:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and leading the company's strategy for both inbound and outbound shipping and receiving. The role involves negotiating with transportation partners to achieve the best cost, delivery, and service options, as well as monitoring shipments, tracking the status of orders, and ensuring timely delivery.

Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting in inventory control across all company locations, analyzing supply chain data, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams in procurement, logistics, finance, and operations. Furthermore, the Supply Chain Manager must demonstrate forward thinking, conduct market research, and utilize their knowledge to support the company's expansion into new markets.

  • Manage relationships with transportation partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Negotiate pricing and terms with logistic suppliers to optimize cost savings and inventory turns.
  • Leverage logistic opportunities such as the PaceJet platform, owned and outsourced fleet logistics. Work with procurement to coordinate inbound logistics from vendor partners.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adequate inventory levels across all locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory levels, cycle counts, and supply chain optimization. Work closely with finance and operations teams to provide logistical guidance and ensure accurate inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies to identify underlying causes, mitigate inventory risks, implement corrective actions and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate inventory accounting and reporting.
  • Lead and develop Freight and Inventory Management Systems (IMS) for customers leveraging Tenet service capabilities, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Keep Fill, 3PL, and drop trailer services.
  • Lead warehouse barcoding and labeling across Tenet.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to optimize inventory management and supply chain efficiency. Implement new technologies and tools to streamline processes and improve visibility.
  • Research and identify ERP systems for Tenet technology transition, lead and assist implementation.
  • Help customers source and manage materials for their jobs.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively and perform other logistics or supply chain related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, educating on systems training and Tenet's standard operating procedures (SOP's).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or related field.
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management and negotiation.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Travel to project sites, or other Tenet locations as needed.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a plant environment.
  • PPE required when in the plant, yard, or construction areas include:
    • Hard Hat
    • Safety Glasses/Goggles
    • Steel-toed boots
    • High Visibility Vest
    • Hearing Protection (designated areas)
    • Gloves
