System Industrial Engineer Responsibilities


  • Own the manufacturing process at contract manufacturing partners including laying out floor plans, setting up and qualifying Final Assembly, Test, and Pack-out (FATP) lines, developing and implementing quality system, and driving cost and cycle time reduction.

  • Develop manufacturing processes at the factory and drive line qualifications by working with cross-functional teams and contract manufacturing partners.

  • Work with cross-functional teams including Hardware Engineering, Operations and manufacturing partner teams to drive ramp and manufacturing partner readiness.

  • Drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing and line automation.

  • Drive Failure Analysis Corrective Action (FACA) and yield bridge to mass production.

  • Influence product manufacturability, testability, serviceability, reliability, flexibility and cost effectiveness by coordinating cross-functional teams during early development and ramp.

  • 30% International travel required.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

  • Requires 60 months of experience involving the following:

  • 1. Final Assembly, Test, Pack and SMT processes

  • 2. Partnering with manufacturers, remotely and in-person

  • 3. GD&T, data analysis and statistics

  • 4. Operating in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • 5. Bottom line project management (Planning, Cost, & Delivery)

  • 6. Operations engineering

  • 7. Optical depth and camera related assembly automation and testing process development

  • 8. Battery related design and process development experience

  • 9. FW, SW experience for SMT level manufacturing bring up and test validation

  • 10. Evaluate architectural product design and identify operational manufacturability risks, AND

  • 11. Identify design risks, problem solving, failure analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing assembly and test issues.
