System Reliability Engineer, Amazon Robotics

We are seeking candidates with exceptional technical skills, a demonstrated capability to learn fast, and a strong interest in design for reliability and service. As part of this highly influential team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with global teams within Amazon to contribute to the challenges and continuous innovation of the Amazon Robotic Systems.
Key job responsibilities
As a System Reliability Engineer you will contribute to the development of robotic solutions optimized for availability, life cycle cost and performance.
-\tSupport Design for Reliability, Maintainability and Supportability activities during new product development.
-\tDevelop reliability models for complex electro-mechanical systems
-\tSupport Failure Modes Effects Analyses for new products
-\tAssist in the development and execution of reliability test plans and data collection strategies
-\tAssess vendor reliability data
-\tAdvocate for the customer during the design process on failure modes, fault diagnostics and impacts to product supportability
-\tDevelop lifecycle support strategies and mechanisms for new products
-\tEnsure supportability requirements and concerns are addressed for field launch
-\tWork with customers to identify opportunities for improved maintenance strategies
-\tAssist with processes to expand diagnostic capabilities improve ergonomics, and reduce troubleshooting time
-\tWork with Learning team to develop and improve Amazon Robotics University technical manuals and training modules
A day in the life
Use engineering and statistics knowledge to design test plans, analyze results and solve issues during product development.
Support Sr Engineers by gathering information, developing models and analyzing data.
Work as a member of development teams to identify, prioritize and mitigate risks to system reliability and supportability.
Engage with cross functional teams to develop requirements, models, support mechanisms .

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent

- Experience in reliability, test engineering or product development.
