Job Description

Our client is currently undergoing a migration from their legacy system to Guidewire. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in this transition. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating information technology systems operations. You’ll work closely with users and engineering/development staff to identify user needs, recommend system improvements, and track system issues. Additionally, you’ll support the translation of business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.

Top Three Skills (in order of importance and years of experience):

Auto Insurance Domain Knowledge (2+ years): Familiarity with auto insurance industry practices, policies, and processes.

Detail-Oriented Analytical Skills (4+ years): Ability to meticulously analyze and interpret complex data.

Transformation Experience (Guidewire, 3+ years): Experience with system migrations or transformations.

Technology Tools:

Oracle SQL / MS SQL: Proficiency in querying and manipulating data using SQL.

Jira / JWM: Familiarity with project management tools for tracking tasks and requirements.

MS Office: Competence in using Microsoft Office applications.

Guidewire

Daily Duties Using Technology Tools: 

Analyze Data Sets and Profile Data for Conversion: You’ll assess data sets, ensuring they are suitable for migration, and profile data to understand its characteristics.

Lead Technical Requirements Analysis and Mapping Verification: Verify that technical requirements align with business needs and map them for completeness.

Ensure Traceability of Approved Artifacts Across Work Areas: Maintain traceability of approved requirements, ensuring consistency across different work areas.

Review and Update Jira Board Features/Stories: Based on your analysis, keep Jira boards up to date with accurate features and stories.

Reconcile Data and Metrics Across Applications: Ensure data consistency and metrics alignment during the migration process.

Coordinate with Integration Partners and Data Mapping Teams: Resolve tasks and dependencies by collaborating with integration partners and program teams.

Team-Specific Responsibilities:

Analyze Integrating Systems and Assess Impacts:

Identify impacts caused by defects, change requests (CRs), or clarifications. Communicate these findings and ensure proper documentation.

Coordinate with Downstream Partners:

Understand downstream impacts and dependencies to plan work effectively.

Provide Metrics and Reports to Leadership:

Keep leadership informed of progress and maintain communication with partners regarding status and clarifications.
