Systems Engineer

A client of Insight Global is searching for a systems administrator to join their tech enablement SASS tools team. This individual will be responsible for general support of the tools that this team owns -answering questions, responding to requests, adding new u and new projects, automating things as much as possible. The tools that this team owns included: Confluence, Jira, Miro, Smartsheet, and Zendesk. The goal of this team is to minimize the amount of support and admin work needed to maintain these tools. They want to be a SASS center of excellence and have experts in the tools that they own. The long-term goal of this team is to move into a consulting model with the tools giving suggestions to internal Home Depot employees on what tools they need to solve the problems that they are facing. A third party partner is helping with an on-prem confluence migration to the cloud and this person is expected to follow along in that process and be able to be the admin for confluence once this migration is complete. This team of 8 engineers/administrators is looking for someone who is self-sufficient, has strong communication skills, and has an eagerness to learn.

PR: $45-$50/HR

Required Skills & Experience

2-3+ years of Systems Engineer experience
Python experience
Ideally not just throwing a script together but Python SDLC
Someone with a DevOps mindset (build it, test it, deploy it, support it, own it)
Experience with one or all: Git, Github Actions, Spinnaker, K8s
Self- starter and eager to learn
strong communication skills someone who is a team player and wont want to silo and just work tickets
Customer Service mindset

Jira align exp.
24X7 retail support experience
Enterprise level experience
SRE type admin experience
Experience with Confluence
Exposure to cloud platforms
