We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell's Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next-generation stop-fold tiltrotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth; however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.

Systems Industrial Engineer

Bell's MTC is an exciting, innovative proving ground where we will test and optimize aircraft manufacturing and sustainment technologies and processes. This digitally connected facility enables collaboration across all our core capabilities and offers a glimpse into our factories' future.

The Industrial Engineer position will assist our manufacturing support team that is responsible for on-time - every time execution at the MTC. The incumbent for this role must have demonstrated abilities to adapt to a highly technical, multi-faceted environment that is comprised of various operational and technical subject matter experts. This role will report to the MI Operations Leader. Primary deliverables include interpreting customer requirements, developing and maintaining metrics around schedule and cost (PowerBI), supporting the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and adhering to AOP budgets and headcounts. This position will be part of a team responsible for creating and maintaining build schedules and capacity models and coordinating with NRE & Outside Process teams to execute Customer needs successfully.

What you'll be doing as a System Industrial Engineer

  • Evaluating current manufacturing practices and identifying the ones that need improvement.
  • Analyzing various components of manufacturing processes such as schedules, flows, and specifications
  • Creating management control systems for improving cost analysis and financial planning efficiency
  • Managing production schedules
  • Coordinating cross-functional organizations to maximize productivity.
  • Designing control systems to ensure proper metrics are delivered monthly.
  • Improving the efficiency of each production process by discovering new and innovative methods


• Analyze key performance metrics and EVMS/PM reporting for the MTC.

• Collaboration with staff/core IEs on capacity analysis

• Act as a partner with the leadership team to drive system utilization that enables business execution.

• At least two (2) years of experience in Industrial Engineering

  • Demonstrate experience with an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience in timely and accurate staffing/equipment capacity analysis.
  • Must be a proven self-starter with minimal supervision, excellent foresight, and problem-solving skills.


What you need to be successful

We are looking for an energetic person who is driven and passionate and has innovative ideas for shop floor analysis and metric development-a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field. Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Engineer supporting aerospace manufacturing and assembly. System experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response. Two (3) plus years of experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing will be considered instead of a degree.
