    Position Responsibilities
    • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and provides a learning climate for the students.
    • Ensure physical upkeep of the classroom and equipment is maintained.
    • Work with a variety of Adult students (15-20 at a time) teaching skills necessary for the High School Equivalency test.
    • Provide individual, small group, and whole group instruction with adult students to acquire concepts for the High School Equivalency test.
    • Maintain accurate/confidential records.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Evaluate student progress based observation, data collection,and current best practices.
    • Work flexible hours between 2-7 pm up to 4 days a week depending on student needs.

    Qualifications
    • Valid Michigan Department of Education Teaching Certification with any Special Education Endorsement
    • Meet Adult Education teaching requirements

    Salary : $50,000 - $82,010 (prorated)

    Contract : 188 Days
