The Medical Imaging Team Leader provides oversight, support, and coordination of daily activities of assigned staff.

• Works with the physicians and department management in setting goals, objectives, budget preparation, problem solving and policies/procedures.
• Maintains appropriate staffing levels for the department specific to their area of service.
• Demonstrates a high level of technical and clinical competency. Assists radiologist in performing procedures as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

• Graduate from an Accredited Program in one or more medical imaging modalities as described below

Minimum Work Experience

Required- 3 years of experience as a registered technologist

Preferred - Experience in a lead role

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Demonstrated ability to lead groups, both formally and informally. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

X Basic Life Support (BLS)

X Certified/licensed with appropriate professional registry (ARRT)

Certified/licensed in good standing with appropriate professional registry:

• Mammography: Must be RT(R)(M)
