A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a tech support specialist to support lab installations for their individual colleges, focusing on the school of Film and Television. The Technology Support Specialist duties include installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software systems, and providing technical assistance and training to system end u - which include students, faculty, and staff. This position also supports projects such as this summer they will be re-vamping, installing, upgrading, and configuring a variety of creative software such as Adobe or Avid. This position reports directly to the Manager of Learning Space and Lab Technology, Information Technology Services and joins the team of five who all are dedicated to different schools within the university (such as business, liberal arts, communications, etc). This person needs to have excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate a stressful classroom technology issue and support a fast-paced environment to provide the smoothest technological experience for SFTV staff, faculty, and students.

Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVES
- 3+ years of technology support experience including desktop support or field desktop tech
- 1+ year working in or with a studio/media production/post production environment or higher education school of film and television
- Intermediate or higher proficiency with JAMF cloud mobile device management, (JAMF certification, level 300 to 500 ideally)
- Familiar with creative software installation and troubleshooting such as AVID Media Composer, AutoDesk Maya/Entertainment Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Pro Tools, Final Draft, etc.
- Excellent Strong customer service skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PLUSSES
- Has previously worked in large scale packaging and deployment of software
- Apple hardware and software certification preferred - this is a heavy MAC environment, though some Windows
- Service now experience as a ticketing system
- Experience working with camera related plug ins (this school uses Red cameras)
- Proficiency supporting Microsoft Office ecosystem, and familiarity with Box cloud management and Zoom.us
