1901 Group (A Leidos Company) has an exciting Technical Business Analyst position located in Southwest Virginia with opportunities to work remotely.

1901 Group, a leading provider of enterprise digital transformation services, is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our team. As a 1901 Group Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working with clients to understand their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions in an Agile development team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work with developers to understand their technical requirements and assist in developing user stories
  • Gather technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables.
  • Assist with prioritization of business requirements
  • Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements
  • Ensure that solutions are properly documented
  • Review and edit documents developed by others to ensure accuracy and quality of content, organization, language, format consistency, and conformance with established standards.
  • Work with technical staff to develop documentation and submit for review and approval by technical specialists and project management personnel.
  • Assist with preparing Technical Manuals in compliance with government guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing and editing technical documents for publication, including user manuals, training materials, installation guides, and reports.
  • Review, research, and edit information for preparation of contract deliverables.
  • Ensure documents meet editorial and customer specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.
  • Interface with other team members and subject matter experts in coordinating/preparing the edited draft for delivery.
  • Participate in the creation of presentation materials.
  • Proofread material prepared by other team members.
  • Communicates across team to complete projects and assignments as needed.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or relevant work experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience years of gathering business requirements for a software development team
  • Experience working with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of development best practices
  • Proficient English grammar skills. Ability to outline, write, and edit technical papers and documentation.
  • Experience writing, editing, producing, and overseeing technical documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience with Agile development tools like Redmine, Jira or Digital.ai
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a task-based/schedule-driven mindset with the ability to meet schedule timelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experienced in Agile and Scrum development methodologies and processes
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organization skills
  • US Citizenship required
  • Able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable with 508 compliant requirements
  • Previous cross browser experience

Pay Range: Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
