Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to advance its state-of-the-art cloud-scale infrastructure. Meta's infrastructure is vast, both in its physical footprint and the range of products and services it supports. We are undergoing a major transformation-streamlining the developer experience, operating efficiently at a rapidly growing scale, and supporting the world's leading web and AI workloads. As a Technical Program Manager for software engineering investments within the core infrastructure, capacity, and efficiency teams, you will be central to driving this transformation. In close collaboration with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams, you will identify technical challenges, develop roadmaps, scope programs to align with technical outcomes and business priorities, set milestones and success metrics, and lead large cross-functional teams to successful completion.

Technical Program Manager, Software Engineering Infrastructure Responsibilities


  • Build strong, aligned program teams to efficiently achieve shared goals."

  • Collaborate with engineering and business owners to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, including defining the roadmap and long-term strategy for the teams you partner with.

  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Effectively manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.

  • Define and track key metrics, quality indicators, and performance indicators, driving cross-functional execution of program deliverables.

  • Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, and critical infrastructure challenges in collaboration with engineering leaders and stakeholders.

  • Influence product decisions to ensure alignment with broader company initiatives.

  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.


Minimum Qualifications


  • B.S. in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management.

  • Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery, along with an understanding of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.

  • Experience in communication and collaboration with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  • Experience in organizational coordination and establishing work relationships across multidisciplinary teams and partners in different time zones.

  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving with large-scale systems.

$195,000/year to $267,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
