We develop Robotic Technology Kernel (RTK), which is the U.S. Army's library of modular software package that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The Technical Project Manager is a key part of getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage a group of development partners that contribute to Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) ground vehicle autonomy software (RTK ).

Guide and assist development partners with GVSC's product development workflow to ensure that the development partners hit the agreed upon milestones.

Coach partners with a Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) framework.

Assist during inception and product increment planning.

Guide and assist the development partner with the right support structure within the autonomous ground vehicle team while serving as the point of contact for development partners.

Maintain and share project management status reports with the product line management and engineering teams.

Encourage synergies of the development partner with other GVSC product lines.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Proven experience in project management and Agile software development.

Good leadership, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in EE/CE, CS, or applied sciences and 8 years of experience managing projects and/or software development.

Ability to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

Experience working with GIT, Docker, Bitbucket, Jira, and SIL.

Demonstrated robotics and autonomous systems experience, e.g. Robotic Operating System (ROS).

Experience with technical requests for proposals as well as evaluating statements of work.

Willingness to provide code deployment and configuration management support during test events.

Ability to act as an integration and test engineer to collect data for ROS based autonomous ground vehicle systems.
