As a Recruiter specializing in government clearance candidates in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region, you will be critical in helping our organization identify and attract highly skilled individuals with security clearances needed to support our government clients. You will work closely with project leaders, hiring managers, and our corporate staff to identify, source, and recruit candidates across various technical and non-technical disciplines with active government clearance. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing recruitment strategies, managing candidate pipelines, conducting candidate assessments and interviews, and negotiating offers for Cleared Professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies to identify and attract government clearance candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to create job descriptions, job postings, and interview criteria that accurately reflect the requirements and qualifications for open positions.
  • Review resumes and applications and conduct pre-screening assessments and interviews to evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • Manage candidate pipelines and maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Technical Recruiter will provide guidance and support to hiring managers on candidate selection and offer negotiations.
  • Work with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements for recruitment and hiring.
  • Continuously monitor and report on recruitment metrics, recommending process improvements as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best recruitment and candidate engagement practices to drive innovation and results.
  • Research position descriptions to gain working knowledge of the position and the technologies and skills that it includes.
  • Engage with program and recruiting lead to anticipate staffing needs and developing effective staffing approaches.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 more years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technologies, tools, and programming languages for recruited roles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of government clearance processes and procedures.
  • 5+ years of technical recruiting experience in the Cleared Community (TS/SCI with FS polygraph).
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and responsibilities, as well as industry trends and hiring best practices
  • The Technical Recruiter should have successfully developed and executed recruitment strategies that result in high-quality candidate pipelines and successful hires.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to learn technologies, tools, and software applications quickly.
  • A willingness to make phone calls daily.
  • Flexibility with schedule. People who thrive in this position are able and willing to work after 5 p.m. and potentially on weekends from time to time.

Preferred Skills:

  • Active top-secret government clearance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming languages: A technical recruiter should understand popular programming languages like Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding software development methodologies: A technical recruiter should understand software development methodologies like Agile and Waterfall to assess candidates' skills and experience better.
  • Familiarity with databases: A technical recruiter should be familiar with popular database management systems, such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, to understand the technical skills better and experience of candidates.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing: With the increasing adoption of cloud technologies, a technical recruiter should have a basic understanding of cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools: DevOps is an integral part of modern software development, and a technical recruiter should be familiar with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, to better evaluate candidates for DevOps roles.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity: With the increasing importance of cybersecurity, a technical recruiter should have a basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
