The IT Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, and proofreading technical content such as manuals, help files, and software documentation. The position entails researching, organizing, writing, editing, and formatting technical information to produce high-quality documents for a specific audience. The IT Contractor, Technical Writer will determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension. The IT Contractor, Technical Writer will generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions; meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed; analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation; review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5 + years of technical writing experience within enterprise level financial firms
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze work flows and generate detailed and comprehensive documentation
- Experience meeting with stakeholders an subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed and properly documented
