The Information Controls Technology team delivers technology solutions to support several compliance functions including control group, monitoring of employee's electronic and voice communications, and Employee Investing and Activities compliance.
Position Description:
We are looking for a hands-on engineering lead for the "Employee Investments and Activities Compliance (EIAC)" function within Information Controls. The solutions delivered by this team enables firm employees to meet their employee compliance obligations and compliance to perform their monitoring and oversight role of employee activities such as outside accounts, private investments and personal trading.
The solutions delivered by you and team will be used by all employees at the firm and is critical to any new business that the firm engages with.
Responsibilities:
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance, expertise, and support to the development team, assisting in architectural decisions and complex problem-solving.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them in their work, ensuring quality output, and fostering their professional growth.
• Project Planning and Execution: Participate in agile planning ceremonies, defining technical requirements, estimating stories, and ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Architecture and Design: Drive the architectural design and implementation of systems.
• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Oversee code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standard, best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication among team members, stakeholders and other teams.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance and solutions when critical problems arise.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Encourage and ensure proper documentation of processes, systems and best practices, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills Expected:
• 10 + years of appropriate technical experience
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript
• Microservices Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices architecture, including service communication, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Web Development: Expertise in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks (like Angular, React etc.)
• Databases: Familiarity with various databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and their implementation in microservices.
• Testing and Deployment: Experience with testing frameworks, continuous integration, and deployment tools to ensure the quality and efficiency of the development process.
• Security: Understanding of web security best practices and experience in implementing secure practices within microservices and web applications.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
