Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of IEEE Entrepreneurship. It will include semi-routine functions with relatively close supervision. This role reports directly to the IEEE Entrepreneurship Program manager and does not require prior technical knowledge or experience in engineering driven entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities Serves as SME for administrative questions that come to Strategic programs Responsible for addressing questions or identifying staff person(s) to respond Scheduling volunteer and staff meetings with WebEx Creating / distributing meeting agendas Creating / distributing meeting minutes Maintain volunteer rosters and email aliases Membership processing Inventory management of IEEE collateral / shipping Support on special projects as needed

Education

H.S. diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience

5+ years of business experience working in administrative positions

Skills and Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational abilities Administration experience Knowledge of current word processing, presentation and database software packages. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

Communication Skills

There is regular and frequent contact with staff and volunteers at all levels. Issues must be addressed in a clear and unambiguous fashion, while exercising tact. Must strive for cooperation and effectiveness of services. Must also have the ability to interface with other members of IEEE staff and work as a member of an effective team.

Cooperation and Coordination Skills

There is extensive contact with different IEEE staff departments, including Regional Activities, Educational Activities, Publishing and Corporate Activities, both in the office and on site at meetings. The incumbent must strive for cooperation and effectiveness of services.
