Highly skilled Tool and Die Specialists who have experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs on automotive dies.
The Tool and Die Specialist will support the High Pressure Die Cast Department, maintaining the dies to meet production standards and goals in a timely manner. We are looking for candidates who are shift flexible and available to work overtime, based on business needs.


Responsibilities

• Maintain die PM system, including detailed work instructions and manage on schedule completion of PM activities
• Troubleshoot casting issues associated with the die troubleshooting procedures
• Prepare die preparation check sheets and trial procedures
• Maintain die spare parts lists and ensure parts are set up and in stock prior to start of production
• Follow die cleaning method and adherence to schedule
• Identify and implement proactive systems to achieve consistent improvement in casting quality
• Support development of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for production dies to identify critical risks and develop appropriate control plans

Requirements

• Experience in production of and maintaining dies producing structural aluminum die castings
• Hands on experience maintaining, modifying, and repairing dies
• Work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings
• Communicate clearly using written and verbal skills
• Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation

$32.00 - $60.70/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
