The Transplant Coordinator is directly responsible for the scheduling and navigating patients and family members through the process of Bone Marrow Tansplant and Cellular Therapy procedures from initiation of the work-up to procedure completion. Additionally, the Transplant Coordinator will communicate the patient progress and status to all stakeholders and coordinate efforts to expidite the process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordination : Coordinates activities of patients eligible for a blood or marrow transplant including their transplant evaluation, HLA work up, stem cell collection, and admission to the hospital for their transplant.
- Team Support : Provides back-up (cross coverage) for the other transplant Coordinator in patient related activities including interactions with the care team, Sr. Transplant Coordinators and patients.
- Patient Liaison : Serves as primary point of contact and logistic information for patients and family members during the transplant process
- Communication : Reports status of all assigned patients to stakeholders at meetings and direct discussion. The TC will work to expedite the transplant workup process and resolve any obstacles to the best of their ability.
- Transplant Team Responsibilities: as a member of the Bone Marrow Tansplant team, contribute to efforts related to planning, policy & procedure development, and quality assurance & effectiveness.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
