TxDOT Transportation Planning and Programming Division is seeking a motivated individual to join the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) team. The STIP is a critical path program for the agency, documenting all federal and many state funded projects in Texas. TxDOT's STIP is a 4-year program exceeding $50B. - Performs complex planning and programming activities in support of management-related programs and/or transportation projects.
- Reviews and prepares correspondence, reports, studies, gives briefings, and makes presentations regarding program activities.
- Conducts or participates in Regional Planning Meetings.
- Conducts Program Development Meetings with sponsors to identify requirements, exchange information, and keep informed on the status of projects.
- Conducts research and analysis on complex issues, legislation, departmental policies and assists in developing departmental policy positions pertinent to those issues and areas of expertise.
- Coordinates planning projects involving districts, divisions, various public transportation interests, research endeavors with universities, other agencies and/or local, state, and federal agencies.
- Develops and implements short and long-range local and statewide plans and projects.
- Monitors and analyzes activities of assigned functional areas and provides information that may impact them.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
