We are looking for a Transportation Dispatcher to join the team at our multi-shift operation in York, PA - Come be part of the exciting 3PL industry today!!

As Transportation Supervisor, you will work closely with the Transportation Manager, other Department Managers, and our customer. The Transportation Supervisor oversees a team of CDL A drivers, switchers, and Hot shot drivers on their assigned shift ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, on time delivery, and teamwork. This is a very high paced role that requires the ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities. In this role you have the ability shape and grow the culture of the crew and ensure all metrics for safety, compliance and on-time delivery are met.

The ideal candidate MUST be able to demonstrate the following:

Position Responsibilities:
\n
    \n
  • Lead and develop a team of clerks and dispatchers to successfully complete the team's goals and customer requirements.
  • \n
  • Ensure on time delivery of all dispatched loads.
  • \n
  • Ensure proper logging, drop, and tracking of all trailers and material in the truck yard.
  • \n
  • Interact directly with all levels of internal and external customers to ensure the success of the team and to resolve any concerns.
  • \n
  • Manage all team schedules as necessary to cover all shifts within the guidelines of the union contract, and DOT Hours of Service regulations.
  • \n
  • Ability to work any shift.
  • \n
  • Additional duties and requirements assigned, per customer, management, and team requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
\n
    \n
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • \n
  • 1+ years transportation industry experience working with drivers as dispatch within DOT Regulations
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety regulations
  • \n
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • \n
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • \n
