IMMEDIATE NEED!! TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

POSITION: Transportation Systems Coordinator

Primary Purpose:
  • The Transportaion Systems Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and integration of all transportation related applications such as routing, GPS, working with 3rd party transportation vendors, and student route rosters, to ensure the route systems are functioning properly and kept up to date.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ Years experience
  • Possess or the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with TEA endorsements
  • Ability to pass drug and initial onboarding fingerprint background check
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with the requirements for Texas school bus drivers

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to recommend and enforce department and district procedures as related to student transportation
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Be a role model; uphold school vision of nurture, character, discipline, and academic excellence.
  • Follow federal, state, and district policies and maintain required documentation.
  • Maintain professional communication. Maintain confidentiality.
  • Participate in departmental recruiting and orientation efforts
  • Observe, coach and evaluate assigned personnel
  • Provide recommendations for departmental budget needs within area of department responsibility.
  • Maintain positive public relations with department staff, district staff and community.
  • Assist routing team, dispatch, camera, and video specialist to provide technical and managerial assistance as needed.
  • Serve as department liaison with transportation and or vehicle vendors to ensure all systems are functioning properly
  • Always promote a positive district representation
  • Ensure that all drivers are up to date per TEA student transportation requirements
  • Oversee regular vehicle maintenance schedule including van cleanings, oil changes and other needed repairs.
  • Coordinate with Athletic Directors, Maintenance staff, and Business Office.
  • Assist with GeoTab application. Assist in ongoing development of digital rostering.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
