About the USDS Product Safety Team

The USDS Trust & Safety Product team crafts and shapes responsible product strategies and platform tools to protect the communities of TikTok US creators, users and internal teams. As a Product Ops Lead managing a world-class team of Safety Product Operations Managers, you will be instrumental in ensuring that TikTok US remains a safe and trustworthy environment for inspired creativity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on the challenge of bringing structure to fast-moving, rapid iterating global tech teams and helping a business scale efficiently. This leader will be able to independently set a direction for a team covering a wide portfolio of products and workflows and be fluent with metrics and data to power decision-making.

This full-time position is based in Mountain View, Los Angeles, or New York.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of Product Ops Managers, working across backend safety products and legal compliance workflows to drive business performance.
- Execute high-quality, expeditious safety product & feature launches through project management across multiple functional teams and across Global and US teams.
- Craft and compose Business Requirements Documents to drive clarity of scope and crystallize needs and objectives of Trust & Safety functional teams to ably perform their critical workflows.
- Strengthen and optimize business processes to improve product velocity and organizational alignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of people management in a product or product operations organization.
- Expertise in process excellence and process redesign.
- Expertise with product development and product delivery cycles (Agile) and tools to manage those (i.e. JIRA).
- Background in Trust & Safety space, including legal compliance issues.
- Superb written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or practical experience in process frameworks such as Six Sigma.
- Product delivery experience at a leading global consumer tech platform.
- Experience with Consumer Operations tools such as support ticketing (i.e. Zendesk), help centers (i.e. Mixpanel, task automation (i.e. Zapier), knowledge base management (i.e. Confluence).
