A Client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Cloud Engineer to sit onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. This individual This candidate will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results, and resolving software problems. They will also provide input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products. They will also be serving as technical lead of multiple different software development teams.

Required Skills & Experience

* Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance

* Bachelor's degree in computer science and twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

* Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

* Five (5) years of demonstrated work experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable, etc.

* Demonstrated work experience with the MapReduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.

* Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).

* Demonstrated work experience with serialization formats such as JSON and/or BSON.

* Extensive experience with Java

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience with Linux, Git/GitLab, Python, and Maven

* Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA and/or similar tools
