General description

Join the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company as a Developer! Work involves performing highly advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) computer programming work. Work involves overseeing programming projects; analyzing proposed applications; and designing software solutions. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in data processing, computer science, business, or a related field, required.
  • Six years of full-time experience in a combination of the following:
    • MS Visual Studio, NET and .NET Framework
    • C#
    • ASP.NET
    • HTML
    • JavaScript
    • XML
    • Web Services
    • AJAX
    • MS Team Foundation Server or other relevant source control systems
    • VB Script
    • VB.Net
  • Six years of full-time experience performing MS SQL development for the following:
    • Stored procedures
    • SSIS Packages
    • SSRS Reports
  • Three years of experience with Microsoft MVC, JSON, jQuery, Restful Services, Angular JS, and NodeJS
  • Three years of experience working in an AWS or Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Experience operating within and supporting multiple environments, including production.
  • Five years of experience developing within an investment environment.
  • Five years of experience in development with advanced T-SQL queries and objects which include:
    • Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
    • Indexes
    • Triggers
  • User Defined Functions (UDFs)
  • Experience with investment accounting systems, bank wire systems, financial web portal applications, and investment tracking systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • RSA Token application integration
  • Experience with LDAP queries
  • Experience working with integrated systems in a hybrid environment.


Substitution:

  • One additional year of full-time minimum experience as stated above may substitute for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).


In this role you will:

  • Assists with developing requirements and programming of applications, interfaces, data imports/extracts and reports utilizing a development full stack for both on premise and hosted solutions. Development efforts will be heavily focused on tools, interfaces and applications to support investment portfolio management, risk management and investment analytics.
  • Assists Business Analysts with the support of daily operations for a suite of financial applications which includes issues resolution and operational requests to resolve daily workflow issues such as bugs and enhancements utilizing scripts, SSIS, SSRS, JSON, ASP.Net, C#, Python, JavaScript, Angular JS and Visual Studio in the analytics of investment performance data.
  • Performs research and presents options for the enhancement of tools, processes and methods utilized on the development team to support improvements in investment analytics.
  • Assist with other IT and staff technical requests as needed.

  • MS Visual Studio.NET and .NET Framework/Core, ASP, MS SQL Server Reporting Services Reports, MS SQL Server Integration Services, Team Foundation Server, AJAX, Web Services, MS IIS, MS Visio, VB Script, and VB.
  • RSA Token application integration including modification of RSA Client Templates.
  • Investment accounting systems, bank wire systems, financial web portal applications or investment performance systems.


Skill in:

  • Modifying programs for computer applications.
  • Various software architectures (n-tier, mvc, microservices, cloud, soa).
  • SQL Server management.
