Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Check windows, repair chains and sash weights.
  2. Check switches replace covers as needed and level receptacles.
  3. Replace television in guest rooms and reprogram as needed.
  4. Repair table, floor lamps and switches.
  5. Tighten doorknobs.
  6. Lubricate locks and hinges change electronic door set batteries.
  7. Install rubber bumpers in doors.
  8. Repair/replace hooks, drapes, and pulley tensioning as necessary.
  9. Repair or replace toilet seats.
  10. Unplug toilets and bathroom drain plugs with plunger or manually operated snake.
  11. Grouting and repair of tile.
  12. Repair shower doors
  13. Fix paper holders
  14. Clean light fixtures
  15. Change filters, clean coils, grills, and radiators
  16. Clean and paint equipment in mechanical and all associated areas.
  17. Assist Engineers, as directed by Lead Engineer, and/or Chief Engineer.

Secondary functions
  1. Perform the necessary repair to moderately complex equipment such as vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps, and small appliances as needed. Work may be performed in a workshop environment and requires working at a workbench.
  2. Due to nature of the business, the utility engineer may be required to do other job duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as assisting other trades.
  3. Assist in planning of work schedules and coordination of preventive maintenance tasks.
  4. Assist in ordering of repair parts and supplies necessary for the orderly execution of duties communicating needs to Chief Engineer.
  5. Willingness to be cross trained in all trades within Engineering.

The hourly pay range for this role is $28.76 to $34.06. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Francisco, CA. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
