ROLE: SeniorUX Designer

LOCATION: Remote, client is on the East Coast

OVERVIEW: Apex Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior UX Designer whois proficient with research, wireframing & prototyping, usability testingand stakeholder interaction, to support the design of a new application for our industry leading financial services client.

The position is a 6 monthcontract basis with the potential to extend. Competitive hourly compensation depending on experience. The successful candidate should have experience with a variety of design tools such as XD, Photoshop, Balsamiq, Studio & Visio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research andstudy target users to collect and analyze data that will help inform the product design process
• Create wireframes and mock-ups that fulfill product requirements.
• Perform design upgrades based on user feedback, technical constraints and marketing dynamics
• Set direction and standard for screen imagery including icons, content flow and navigation elements
• Evaluate theproducts user experienceby testing it with representative users
• Effectively communicate vision of the end user to internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct end user and Domain Expert research, including focus groups, survey and prototype testing

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or BS from a 4 year College or University in Graphic Design or related field
• Strong design portfolio
• 5+ years of experience in UX Design for web and/or desktop applications
• Working knowledge of modern interfaces and their visual metaphors
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as XD,Photoshop, Balsamiq, Visio
• Understanding of how design impacts engineering
• Clear & confident communicator
• Strong analytical and design skills
