One of Insight Global's top clients is looking for a Vertical Pumps Applications Engineer to sit at their Manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. Main responsibilities include testing, application, and supervision of pump proposal curves and performance specific to client and project specifications. The ideal candidate will come from the pump manufacturing industry and possess knowledge of API 610 code standards and regulations, as these are the specific codes that this facility operates by. This position also requires the candidate to come from a data driven background, as a large portion of this role will consist of reviewing and testing centrifugal pump performance, and making the necessary adjustments and modifications. Other responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with global sales, tendering, and procurement teams for various projects.
- Review and advise on customer RFQs and specifications on pump performance
- Support sales with customer meetings as requested

This role is part of the company's global technical engineering group, so this position will have high visibility to global projects and clientele.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 2-4 years of experience doing tests, applications, or tendering with Vertical pumps in accordance to API 610 codes and regulations
- customer service/collaboration experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Testing software experience, specifically Siemens NX
- Communication platform experience, specifically salesforce
