The Virtual Media Specialist will collaborate with the rest of the Walker Center staff to design, execute, and maintain various video, audio, and multimedia projects primarily focused on offering professional development opportunities for UTC faculty. The position may also be available to consult and collaborate with faculty on video, audio, and multimedia projects for their course design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Review of applications will begin June 24, 2024 and continue until the position is filled. Applications received bythis datewill receive priority consideration.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in a relevant field or specialized technical training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (received or in progress); experience working with teaching and learning-related projects; and record of working collaboratively as part of a team.

- Provides expertise and technical skills related to video, audio, and multimedia projects.
- Advises on video, audio, and multimedia projects.
- Assists with training and provides technical guidance to others.
- Maintains equipment inventory (including cleaning, quality assurance, and facilitating repair) and advises on ordering and restocking
- Provides technical assistance, instruction, and consultation for the resolution of problems.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Knowledge of and skills in audio/visual equipment and processes
- Computer skills on multiple systems, particularly editing skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
