J&J Vision Care Supply Chain is recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager. This is a Plant Controller role with financial responsibility for the world's largest contact lenses manufacturing site. The job is based in Jacksonville, Florida and may require up to 5% of travel.

The Vision Care Supply Chain Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for influencing business decisions, based on analyses, to meet or exceed financial commitments in the project, business, and strategic plans. The role will also provide financial leadership and guidance to business partners, ensuring that appropriate financial processes, systems, and controls are in place, in accordance with local government laws and corporate policies.

The role will partner closely with site-based teams for Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, R&D, Facilities, and all other support functions and will partner closely with Vision Supply Chain Finance teams globally. Responsibilities also include supervising a site Finance team.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership to the End-to-End Site Leadership Team & Site Leader, influencing strategy and investment decisions and driving financial accountability

• Proactively manage the financial analysis of costs, pricing, variable contribution (margin), and analysis of overall plant performance. Includes reporting of dashboards and business scorecards with actionable insights

  • Leadership for Monthly/Quarterly close responsibilities, and site's business plan and forecast cycles. Ensure timely, accurate and SOX compliant reporting including clear and actionable insights


• Partner cross functionally to develop solutions to a variety of problems with varying levels of scope and complexity

• Analyze company actual performance vs. Business plan, which may include pricing, profitability, and variance analyses

• Develop policies and procedures to meet finance group objectives

• Oversee operation and cost effectiveness of operating systems and programs

• Manage the preparation and submission of R&D Tax credits and Grant applications

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required

• A minimum of 8 years' experience managing financial processes and staff at a senior level is required

• Excellent analytical, communication and business partnership skills as well as the ability to lead and collaborate in a highly matrixed environment across multiple sectors and regions is required

• Strong influencing and experience partnering with senior leaders within the organization is required

• Supply Chain Finance and plant experience is preferred.

• Attention to detail, while at the same time ability to frame bigger picture.

• Strong analytical skills including advanced technical & excel skills

• Strong knowledge of finance/accounting principles

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity in fast-changing, dynamic external environment.

• Creative and continuously looking for improvements in execution and results.

• This position is located in Jacksonville, FL and may require up to 5% Domestic and International travel
