Overview

The Union Wardrobe is an hourly paid position, according to job assignments (ex: seamstress, wardrobe assistant , laundry, etc). Primarily responsible for sorting, handling, distributing, hanging, unpacking, re-packing wardrobe for theatrical events

This role will pay an hourly wage of $43.81.

Responsibilities
  • making, re-modeling, repairing, altering, fitting, maintaining,cleaning, dyeing, pressing,
  • sorting, handling, distributing, hanging, unpacking, re-packing,
    transporting (within the confines of the Arena) and the general supervision of all items of
    costumes.
  • wardrobe and costume-wardrobe accessories and costume-wardrobe props and assisting in the
    dressing of and making changes for performances
  • Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Employee must be at least 18 years old
  • High School diploma or GED (or any equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Knowledge and experience in proper handling of theatrical tools, equipment, & systems
  • Must be able to work shifts including nights, weekends and holidays dependent on events schedule
  • Physical ability to lift & carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach
  • Stand and walk for four to six hours at a time
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment
