Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for ensuring that our in-coming materials and product is moved in and out of our warehouse in a safe, regulated, and efficient manner that proper inventory is maintained, and good housekeeping and warehouse standards are upheld. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Ensure adherence to Straumann quality management and systems.
  • Be part of the team and strive to ensure that daily service level is achieved.
  • Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
  • Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used.
  • Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
  • Handle issues arising in shipping.
  • Follow applicable policies and procedures to pack and ship out products to customers.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, well-organized, and safe working environment for logistics areas based on 5S and OSHA requirements.
  • Escalate key issues in a timely manner to the immediate manager/ supervisor.
  • Be punctual and work overtime when required with occasional weekend work.
Physical Attributes :
  • Stand 8 hours a day (with periodic breaks allowed) and walk up to an hour.
  • Occasionally push/pull up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Observe and hear warning signs and signals within all areas of the company.
  • Turn one's body, bend down, squat, move hands and upper extremities frequently through the day.
  • Wear protective eye wear when required.
  • Wear protective hearing gear when required.
  • Wear toe protection when required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older

  • Be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment.
  • Have a positive attitude, be dependable, be punctual, and flexible.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with a Warehouse/Distribution environment
  • Basic MS Windows navigation experience with experience using MS Excel
  • Experience with or ability to learn SAP ERP
