Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• 4 years of experience building and testing APIs or web applications.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Relational/non-relational databases, SQL data pipelines, Web application development, backend system design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with creating system/product designs and leading them to launch.
• Experience working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Experience with internal tool development.
• Passion for engineering excellence and experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems.

About the job

As a Web Solutions Engineer on the YouTube Business Technology team, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader YouTube organization more efficient. Your efforts will launch quickly and have an immediate and obvious impact on those around you.

In this role, you'll be working as a part of an engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of our services teams. You will adhere to Google's software development best practices and work in close partnership with other project/product management and engineering teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$176,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the YouTube Support Systems tools and systems.
• Work with business partners to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Implement and test new features and applications.
• Monitor and maintain the applications in production. Work with other engineers to design and implement new solutions.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the YouTube Business Technology team's internal systems.
