Windows Systems Administrator

Description

SAIC is looking to hire a talented Senior Windows Systems Administrator who will be a member of the AWS Windows Systems team. As a member you will be responsible for various daily tasks and assist the team during troubleshooting calls.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Windows Admin team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to various Microsoft Windows Systems. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and their integrations with Linux systems. Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, GPO, and server replication methods. Clear understanding of Group Policy Management and management GPO to keep a clean and organized environment. The ability to use various troubleshooting techniques to solve technical problems of a low to high scope. Work with Cyber team to maintain security requirements as well as taking the necessary action to remediate reported vulnerabilities. Assist the team with patching responsibilities and provide new ideas to improve the current process. Maintain documentation up to date and collaborate with new troubleshooting techniques in our internal knowledge base.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and the full understanding of domain-based systems.
• Experience with Group Policy Management is required.
• Experience maintaining Active Directory, DNS
• Experience with WSUS patching tool is a plus.
• Experience with patching strategies and clear understanding of patching best practices.
• Experience with any or all Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
• PowerShell scripting experience
• AWS certified and experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience with automation tools is a plus.
• Experience integrating Windows and Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of RDP implementations (RDGW, RDP session host)

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
