Job Summary/Basic Function

Social Work study positions may include these activities in their direct service:

• will provide social work services, including counseling, mental health therapy, psychosocial education, community-based interventions, and organizational development
• will address social work issues through an internship at direct site
• will assist individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations to address mental health issues, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, health, acculturation of newcomers and criminal justice
• will provide case-management services to clients in coordinating, assessing, linking, and monitoring progress toward service provision and completion.

Position will not exceed 20 hours per work week.

Required Qualifications

• Current WSU Student.
• Enrolled for 6+ credits for summer semester and 12+ credits for fall and spring semesters.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Currently enrolled in Social Work 4860
